Q - What are my shift options?

In today’s world we encourage our team have a healthy work life balance. Your schedule is not dictated to you, it is a conversation. You have personal and professional goals that are unique to you and your work schedule should reflect those goals. As you grow with our company your earn even more flexibility in your schedule. Our standard work week is 32 hours per week with a 3, 4 or 5 day work week schedule.

Want to level up to a 100K lifestyle? We can create a 36+ hour work week to help you rocket to your income goals.

Q - Is it hard to take time off?

Need time off for that dream vacation or special event? We support that! We have flexible vacation policies to allow you to enjoy memorable life moments.

Q - What type of continuing education do you offer?

Fix Salon owner Mandy McCullough is a National Redken Educator and education content creator for Sam Villa. Taking part in Continuing Education is one of our core beliefs. In 2024 we are creating tailored education opportunities based on each stylists level of experience and growth goals. We provide a blend of mandatory and optional education classes. Mandatory classes are always counted as working hours.

Mandy’s Pop-Up Workshops

These classes happen 2-4 times per month. They are required for our Rising Star Team, highly recommended for our Junior Team and optional for our Senior team. Each stylist chooses what skill set they would like to work on for the class and Mandy coaches them through their progress.

Q- Are there opportunities for leadership and mentoring?

Yes! Last year Fix Salon offered a leadership course to our entire salon team. This group met once a week for 6 weeks to explore the role of leadership and how they could grow into leaders and mentors.

This year one of our senior stylists has earned the opportunity to become the designated Redken Ambassador on our team. They are traveling to New York for training and will begin hosting education within our company.

Our senior stylists are beginning to mentor junior stylists on our team.

We invite everyone on our team to attend bi annual destination trainings with High Performance Salon Academy. These travel events coach our team through personal development , goal setting and leadership trainings.

We are always looking for stylists who are interested in leadership and can curate a growth path to help you get there.

We are proud to share that 2024 is Fix Salon’s 15th year in business. We have been recognized multiple times by Seattle magazine as the best in the city for our services and as a salon. We have been recommended as one of the best salon is the country by publications like POPSUGAR and Allure magazine. Clients seek us out for our reputation as a leading salon in the Seattle area.

We also recognize that as a stylist, you are really an artist. The services you provide have your special flair that cannot be duplicated by another stylist. As clients find our salon we go to great lengths to ensure that they are partnered with the right artist. Our stylist matching quiz ensures that your client’s love your style before they sit in your chair. Our front desk team screens clients by asking for images and recommending consultations so you know what to expect with every guest. We want to ensure that you and your salon guest’s are set up for success and build a life long relationship together.

We have a large loyal following on our social media channels and a dedicated marketing specialist to help perspective clients learn about you. We highlight our diverse team in all of our marketing to let our guest’s know about your special style.

Q - Who is not a fit for the Fix Salon team?

The right stylist for our team want a long term career not a short term job. Stylist who thrive with us are open minded to new ideas and coaching. Our salon is small but we play a big game in how we plan and set goals.

The History Of Fix Salon

Fix Salon was founded by Mandy McCullough in 2009. What started as a small 3 chair rental salon grew in to one of the top salons in Seattle. Mandy’s first salon experience was in an early mentor’s salon in Coeur d’Alene Idaho. It was a place where the stylists and clients were family. Mandy’s goal was to bring this same neighborhood feel to a little corner of Seattle.

In addition to working behind the chair and owning a salon Mandy is a National Educator for Redken facilitating programs in New York and LA, she also creates education content for the Sam Villa company and is a mentor for High Performance Salon Academy.

Mandy’s passion is supporting other hairstylists to exceed their career expectations and show the world why being a hairstylist is the perfect career that creates a dream lifestyle.

Mandy’s true reward is seeing her team reaching their personal and professional goals.
